We are living in the days of a miraculous birth of red heifer in Israel, the
development by Clyde Lott of a herd of red heifers which are suitable candidates
for the sacrifice and the development and restoration of Temple instruments.
Still, there are questions as to whether and how the priests who carry out the
sacrifice may be purified without the recovery of ashes from a previous red
heifer sacrifice, the duties of the kohen hagadol (high priest) and the
mechanics of the ritual. This study presents more detailed information in a
